SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Hazel Graul of Herrin on Thursday, June 9, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born on September 7, 1918 in Herrin to Ernest and Elizabeth (Mason) Trout; she married Gene Graul on May 11, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri; he preceded her in death on September 16, 1999; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Graul was a homemaker and belonged to Second Baptist Church in Herrin; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Hazel Graul has been deeply felt by many, especially her grandson, Brad Graul and wife Karen; her grandson, Bruce Graul and wife Natalie; her great-grandchildren, Alison Graul, Keith Walker, and Brocton and Ryleigh Graul; her sister, Helen Moore; her sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Pete Avripas; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Dale; and her many nieces and nephews; she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Ron Graul; her grandson, Jeffrey Scott Graul; her brothers, Tom and Jack Trout; and her sister, Betty Bird; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Hazel Graul, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our sincerest condolences.
