SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Katie Keele of West Frankfort on June 12, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was an active member of her community; she was a student at Frankfort Community High School and a member of the basketball and volleyball teams; she was also involved with band, show choir, musicals, Lifesavers, Sub-debs, and Key Club; and

WHEREAS, She was a faithful member of Faith Assembly Fellowship Church and the Crossfire youth ministry; and

WHEREAS, Her life was characterized by her fun and loving personality; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her father, Rickey Lee Keele; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Katie Keele is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her mother, Gail Annett Keele; her brothers, Dustin Keele, Don Bullette and wife Crystal, Peter Bullette and wife Amy, Tim Keele and wife Crystal, and John Keele and wife Katie; her grandparents, Bill and Wanda Walton; her grandmother, Goldie Boyd; her great-grandmother, Lura Taylor; her niece, Hannah Bullette; her nephews, Luke and Ian Bullette; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Katie Keele and extend our sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
