SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Ronald Myatt of West
4 Frankfort on Monday, May 16, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on December 25, 1919, in Castleford,
6 England, to Arthur and Alice (Hutchinson) Myatt; he married
7 Margaret Campbell on June 13, 1938, in West Frankfort; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mr. Myatt valiantly served his country during
9 World War II in the U.S. Army's 1st Battalion (Fightin' First),
10 222nd Infantry, 42nd (Rainbow) Division; and
 
11     WHEREAS, He was a coal miner for 47 years, working as a
12 motorman for the Old Ben, Orient, and Freeman Mines; he was a
13 member of the UMWA; and
 
14     WHEREAS, The passing of Ronald Myatt has been deeply felt
15 by many, especially his wife, Margaret; his sons, Ronald Myatt
16 and wife Elizabeth and Barry Myatt and wife Sherry; his nine
17 grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren; he was
18 preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert; his brother,
19 Arthur; and his baby sister; therefore, be it
 
20     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
22 Ronald Myatt, and we extend our sincerest condolences to his
23 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
24 further
 
25     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
27 sympathy.
