SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Ed Anderson of Norris City on May 19, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was born December 5, 1950, in Norris City, the son of Thomas Lewis and Harriet (Carter) Anderson; and

WHEREAS, He married Sarah Jane Brenner on July 29, 1978; and

WHEREAS, He was head of maintenance for Platolene 500 throughout the Tri-State, and also farmed; and

WHEREAS, He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a medic with the Special Forces from 1970 until 1978; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Norris City; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Ed Anderson is felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 26 years, Sarah; his mother, Harriet Crocker; his brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Cathy Anderson; his sister-in-law and her husband, Becky and Ben Kirk; his nieces, Jennifer Lynn and husband Rick, and Jennifer E. and Kimberly Ann Kirk; and his nephew, Wesley B. Kirk; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ed Anderson and extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
