SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Juanita "Nanny" Bailey of Freeman Spur on May 14, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was the daughter of Thomas and Neva (Helms) Gentry; and

WHEREAS, She married Wayne Bailey on October 11, 1946, in Karnak, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, She worked most of her life; after retiring in 1973, she was a homemaker; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Bobby, James, and Billy Gentry; and her sister, Gloria Reed; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Juanita "Nanny" Bailey is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Mike Crabtree; her granddaughter and husband, LeeAnn and Steve Ward; her great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kylie Ward; her sisters, Lois Garavalia, Peggy Ridgway, and Sharon Gentry; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Juanita "Nanny" Bailey and extend our sincerest condolences to her family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
