SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with deep sadness of the untimely death of Dennis L. Gibbens of Carterville on Thursday, May 5, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Dennis was born on September 1, 1983, to Melody Gibbens; he shared the same birthday as his bride, Teila Marie, making that a very special day for them; the two married and have a wonderful son, Daniel Issiah, who is 16 months old; and

WHEREAS, He loved working on cars and electronics and enjoyed playing video games and listening to music; he was an All-State wrestler and football player for Carterville; he attended the Community of Faith Church and had many, many friends that cared for him; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Dennis L. Gibbens has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Teila Gibbens; his son, Daniel Issiah Gibbens; his mother, Melody Gibbens; his father, Dennis Lyman Miller; his sister, Mary Jane Gibbens; his uncles and his aunt, Dennis and Lois Gibbens, Jim Gibbens, and Pat Gibbens; his mother-in-law, Karen Romines; his sister-in-law, Tiffany Romines; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Greg and Woodie Romines; and his great-uncle and great-aunt, Romo and June Pagano; he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Milton Gibbens; his aunt, Aida Pagano; and his great-grandmother and great-grandfather, Mary and Joseph Pagano; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dennis L. Gibbens, who was taken from this world much too soon, and we extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
