HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois wish to congratulate Stella Barr, an esteemed resident of Chicago, on the occasion of the celebration of her 101st birthday; and

WHEREAS, Stella is a long-term member of The Provident Missionary Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, She married her childhood sweetheart, Willie Barr; they had five children, three sons and two daughters; and

WHEREAS, In her business career, she was a seamstress; and

WHEREAS, She has 33 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren; she has done her job of replenishing the earth; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Stella Barr on the occasion of her 101st birthday; we commend her for achieving a long and fulfilling life, and we wish her continued happiness and good health in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Stella Barr as an expression of our respect and esteem.
