HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death in Iraq of Lance Corporal Adam W. Kaiser of Naperville on Thursday, December 1, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Kaiser was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, out of Twentynine Palms, California; the unit was attached to the Regimental Combat Team 8, which is part of the II Marine Expeditionary Force base at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; his regiment was nicknamed the "War Dogs"; and

WHEREAS, Since the age of three, he had wanted to be a Marine when he grew up; he always enjoyed watching programs on military history, which sharpened his drive and goal to join the U.S. Marines; to aid him in his effort, he ran and practiced Tae Kwon Do, earning a black belt; and

WHEREAS, He graduated from Naperville Central High School in 2004, enlisting shortly thereafter; he served as a rifleman and was deployed to Iraq in July; and

WHEREAS, His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the War on Terrorism Service Medal; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Lance Corporal Kaiser has been deeply felt by many, especially his parents, Wade and Christine; his sister, Sarah; and his twin sister, Amanda; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lance Corporal Adam W. Kaiser, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Lance Corporal Kaiser and his willingness to serve his country, which led to him making the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
