| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The Lake County Chamber of Commerce (LCCC) was |
| 3 |
| established in 1915 as the Waukegan Commercial Association and |
| 4 |
| is celebrating 90 years of continuous service to the businesses |
| 5 |
| of Lake County on December 1, 2005; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The LCCC has grown and expanded over the years to |
| 7 |
| reflect its membership; in 1915 it was known as the Waukegan |
| 8 |
| Commercial Association, in 1917 the organization changed its |
| 9 |
| name to the Waukegan Chamber of Commerce, in 1946 it became |
| 10 |
| known as the Waukegan/North Chicago Chamber of Commerce, in |
| 11 |
| 1975 it became the Waukegan/Lake County Chamber of Commerce, |
| 12 |
| and in the mid 1990's it became known as the LCCC; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The LCCC represents over 400 businesses from |
| 14 |
| throughout Lake County and is the parent organization to 3 |
| 15 |
| affiliate Chambers, the Gurnee Chamber of Commerce, the |
| 16 |
| Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Waukegan Chamber of |
| 17 |
| Commerce; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, The LCCC serves as an important social and |
| 19 |
| economic facilitator in the communities of Lake County, |
| 20 |
| sponsoring numereous events like the twice-monthly Networkers |
| 21 |
| Group, Women's Networkers, a Business After Hours hosted by |
| 22 |
| member businesses, the Lake County Power Breakfast, and the |
| 23 |
| Business Luncheon series; and
|
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, Throughout its 90 years the LCCC has proudly |
| 25 |
| served the citizens and business community of Lake County |
| 26 |
| promoting local businesses and the goods and services of those |
| 27 |
| businesses; therefore, be it
|
| 28 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 29 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 30 |
| we congratulate the Lake County Chamber of Commerce on its 90th |
