HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, On September 20, 2005, the General Robert E. Wood Boys & Girls Club and the senior management of HSBC-North America are holding an "Extreme Makeover" event at 2950 West 25th Street in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Nearly 250 members of the senior leadership team of HSBC-North America, one of the nation's largest financial services firms, headquartered in Prospect Heights, will partner with the General Robert E. Wood Boys & Girls Club in an extensive rehabilitation of the Club; and

WHEREAS, HSBC volunteers will develop new computer and video centers and will paint the interior and exterior of the Club, underwriting all costs associated with the event; and

WHEREAS, The project will begin with a brief kickoff ceremony involving a performance by the Club's member children, remarks by the Club's Executive Director, Victor Ceballos, and a check presentation from HSBC; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize and thank HSBC-North America for partnering with the General Robert E. Wood Boys & Girls Club to rehabilitate the Club; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to HSBC-North America and the General Robert E. Wood Boys & Girls Club as an expression of our admiration and best wishes for the future.
