HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Reverend Dan Wood was called on August 22, 2004, to serve as Senior Pastor of Fourth Congregational Church; the church conducted a nationwide search to find a pastor who would revive its fledgling congregation; and

WHEREAS, On May 14, 2005, the official ecclesiastical council installation service was held; the installation symbolized hope, faith, and restoration, along with renewal; and

WHEREAS, Since his arrival at Fourth Congregational Church, Reverend Wood has been very active in the community and has brought the church closer to the community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Reverend Dan Wood on his installation as Senior Pastor at Fourth Congregational Church, and we wish him well in his work at the church; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Reverend Wood as an expression of our esteem.
