1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, There are over 47,329 doctors and 186,492 nurses
3 licensed to practice in the State of Illinois; and

4     WHEREAS, Illinois residents require the services of
5 doctors and nurses to stay healthy, and patients often form
6 close, personal relationships with their healthcare providers;
7 and

8     WHEREAS, Doctors and nurses perform valuable life-saving
9 services, work to cure illnesses, and create and restore a
10 healthy lifestyle for their patients; and

11     WHEREAS, Doctors and nurses work hard to uphold their
12 professional pledge to help keep their patients healthy,
13 working long hours and spending thousands of dollars on medical
14 training and professional development; therefore, be it

15     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17 we recognize the contributions, sacrifices, and service of the
18 State's doctors and nurses; and be it further

19     RESOLVED, That we recognize April 12, 2006, as Doctors and
20 Nurses Appreciation Day in Illinois.
