AN ACT concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is amended by adding Section 3B.09b as follows:

(70 ILCS 3615/3B.09b new)

Sec. 3B.09b. Bicycles on commuter trains. Beginning no later than 60 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly, the commuter rail division must adopt rules to allow commuters to bring bicycles onto trains. At a minimum, bicycles must be allowed on trains during non-rush hours and on weekends.
