from Ch. 37, par. 803-13

Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning court authorization of medical and dental care for minors who are in temporary custody or shelter care.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning courts.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Juvenile Court Act of 1987 is amended by changing Section 3-13 as follows:

(705 ILCS 405/3-13) (from Ch. 37, par. 803-13)

Sec. 3-13. Medical and dental treatment and care. At all times during temporary custody or shelter care, the the court may authorize a physician, a hospital or any other appropriate health care provider to provide medical, dental or surgical procedures if such procedures are necessary to safeguard the minor's life or health.
