SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dennis Michael Skidmore of Vernon Hills,
4who passed away on March 20, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dennis Skidmore was born in Highland Park to
6Chester J. and June M. Skidmore on March 10, 1947; he served in
7the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dennis Skidmore had a successful career in sales;
9after his retirement, he volunteered his business expertise
10with the Executive Services Corps; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dennis Skidmore volunteered his services to the
12property management board in his home community and as a member
13of the Vernon Hills Park District Board; he enjoyed playing
14golf, cooking, and entertaining his loved ones and friends; he
15was devoted to his family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dennis Skidmore was preceded in death by his
17parents; his stepmother, Ruth (Mack) Skidmore; his in-laws,
18Sanford and Babette Levey; and his stepbrother, Michael
19(Darlene) Mack; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Dennis Skidmore is survived by his wife of nearly

149 years, Jill; his sons, Christopher (Susan) and Andrew
2(Tiffany); his grandsons, John, Nicholas, Jackson, and
3Michael; his brother, Steven (Karen); and his stepbrother, Bill
4(Carol) Mack; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Dennis Michael Skidmore and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Dennis Skidmore as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
