 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened  to  learn  of  the  death of George
 4    Winters, Jr. of Carrollton on Friday, February 28, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Mr. Winters  was  born  September  26,  1918  in
 6    Greene  County  to  George  and  Bessie (Ashford) Winters; he
 7    married Eileen Reveal on June 7, 1941; she  preceded  him  in
 8    death  on  January 19, 1984; he married Donna Woolsey on July
 9    4, 1987; and

10        WHEREAS, Mr. Winters was a farmer and owner, breeder, and
11    trainer of Standard Bred horses; and

12        WHEREAS, The passing of Mr. Winters has been deeply  felt
13    by  many,  especially  his wife, Donna; his daughter, Deborah
14    (husband, Jim) Banghart; his sons, Bill (wife, Judy)  Winters
15    and Reginald (wife, Annyce) Winters; his stepson, Dale (wife,
16    Candace)  Woolsey;  his  stepdaughter,  Dana  (husband, Mike)
17    Albrecht; his grandchildren, Tim Winters, Tolly McNear, Shane
18    Winters, Travis Winters, Jill Barnett, and John Banghart; his
19    stepgrandchildren, Josh, Caleb, Amanda, Shayna, and Eli;  his
20    great-grandchildren,  Nick and Jami Graham, McKenna and Chloe
21    Winters, Dylan Barnett, and Hayden Winters; and  his  sister,
22    Vi Crawford; therefore, be it

23        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
24    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the  passing
25    of George Winters, Jr. and extend to his family, friends, and
26    all  who  knew and loved him, our sincere condolences; and be
27    it further

28        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
29    presented  to the family of George Winters, Jr. as a token of
30    our deepest sympathy.
