SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were deeply
3 saddened to learn of the death of Karl Kenneth Oller of Roxana
4 at the age of 69 on October 12, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born November 17, 1934 in Morrisonville,
6 the son of Henry and Vera Esther (Nussman) Oller; he married
7 Dolores "Dee" (Durbin) Oller on June 25, 1971 in Edwardsville;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, He was a U.S. Army veteran and a police officer
10 for the Village of Roxana from 1968 to 1972; he then worked as
11 an adjuster in the military packing department of Olin Corp.
12 until 1973, when he returned as an officer for Roxana; he was
13 appointed to the position of Chief of Police in 1991, and
14 retired in 1994; and
 
15     WHEREAS, He was a member of the Wood River Moose Lodge 1349
16 and Madison County Police Association; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and
18 Vera Oller; his brothers, Don, Willis, Oscar, Henry and Jackie;
19 and his sisters, Alvera, Anna "Jean" and LaVona Eilene "Mary";
20 and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing of Karl Oller will be felt by all who
22 knew and loved him, especially his wife, Dolores; his daughters
23 and son-in-law, Lisa and Ed Schuetz and Stacy Dooling; his
24 grandchildren, Tara and her husband Greg, Michael, Kayla, Kori,
25 Casandra, Joey, Adam and Ashleigh; his brother, Robert "Bob"
26 Oller; his sisters, Peggy Scherff and Shirley Brangenberg; and
27 his great-grandchildren, Emma, Brandon and Bailey; therefore,
28 be it
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2 Karl Kenneth Oller and extend our sincerest condolences to his
3 family, friends and community; and be it further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of Karl Kenneth Oller as an expression
6 of our deepest sympathy.
