SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, We have learned with sadness of the death of
3 Elizabeth T. "Betty" Gray of Waukegan, Illinois, on September
4 4, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mrs. Gray was born on January 5, 1918, in Hungary,
6 the daughter of John and Theresa Kenesie; she was a member of
7 St. Dismas Catholic Church in Waukegan; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mrs. Gray realized the American dream of owning
9 her own business by hard work; she owned Betty Gray's Beauty
10 Salon for 40 years; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Mrs. Gray was a dedicated and community-minded
12 individual who helped many people and was known as a kind and
13 caring person; and
 
14     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph
15 John Gray; by her parents; by two brothers, John Kenesie, Jr.
16 and Andrew Kenesie; and by three sisters, Irma Kenesie, Ann
17 Vinski, and Helen Kenesie; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs. Gray will be deeply felt by
19 many, especially her sons, Ronald J. (Kay) Gray and Richard K.
20 (Pam) Gray; her grandchildren, Jodi (Ed) Tipler, Tami (Michael)
21 Wennerstin, Brandon Gray, and Ian Gray; her brother, Steven
22 (Dorothy) Kenesie; her sister, Teddy (Robert) O'Malley; and her
23 many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
24     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
26 Elizabeth T. "Betty" Gray along with all who knew and loved her
27 and extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends;
28 and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of Elizabeth T. "Betty" Gray as an
3 expression of our deepest sympathy.
