SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Marion Michael Zielinski of Burbank on Friday, August 1, 2003; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Zielinski was born on February 5, 1922, in Chicago; he worked for 42 years for Phoenix Closures, a metal cap company that later was operated as Kerr Glass; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Zielinski will be remembered as a hardworking man and devoted husband; he always had time to listen to problems and helped whenever possible; he served his country honorably during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the 42nd Rainbow Division; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Mr. Zielinski has been deeply felt by all who knew him, especially his wife, Alma, and his daughter, Monica; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marion Michael Zielinski, and we extend to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him, our sincere condolences; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marion Michael Zielinski as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
