SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Francisco G. "Frank" Salazar of Round Lake Beach on Wednesday, July 27, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Salazar was born in Mexico on March 9, 1926 to Francisco and Ines Salazar; he married Elvira on May 26, 1956; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Salazar had resided in the South Deering area in Chicago prior to moving to Round Lake Beach ten years ago; he was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa and was a former member of St. Kevin Church in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He was a tailor by trade and was employed by a number of well-known retailers throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Francisco G. "Frank" Salazar has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Elvira; his children, Francisco, Jr. (Carol), Fernando, Luis, M.D. (Consuelo), and David (Donna); his 15 grandchildren; his sisters, Concepcion and Dorotea; his brothers, Alfonso (Cuqui) and Luis (Magdalena); and his daughter-in-law, Mary Salazar; he was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Eugene; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Francisco G. "Frank" Salazar, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mr. Salazar as an expression of our sincerest condolences.
