SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Charles W. Austin of
4 Princeton on Wednesday, June 16, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Austin was born on January 10, 1916 in
6 Bradford to Walter and Lillian (Duffield) Austin; he married
7 Blanche Moffitt; she preceded him in death on March 17, 1948;
8 he then married Sue Phillips in Princeton in 1955; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mr. Austin valiantly served his country during
10 World War II in the African and European theaters as a member
11 of the U.S. Army; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Mr. Austin was employed by the Bureau County Grain
13 Co. and was a salesman of steel buildings; and
 
14     WHEREAS, The passing of Charles W. Austin has been deeply
15 felt by many, especially his wife, Sue; his sisters, Nell
16 Nyman, Alice Merdian, and Martha (Bob) Montgomery; his brother,
17 James (Ruth) Austin; his granddaughter, Chandra (Ben)
18 Freeland; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
19     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
20 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
21 Charles W. Austin, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his
22 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
23 further
 
24     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to the family of Charles W. Austin as an expression
26 of our sincere condolences.
