SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Lillian Audrey Heintz of Alton on Saturday, March 27, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Lillian Walsh was born on October 28, 1922, in St. Louis, Missouri, to William and Lillian (Sands) Walsh; she married Victor Heintz Jr. on June 23, 1943, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton, where the couple remained long-time members; he preceded her in death February 19, 1968; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Heintz graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 1940 and later attended Shurtleff College and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale; prior to retirement, she was employed at Brown Shoe Company and as a deputy Circuit Clerk in the East Alton and Wood River Circuit Courts; she will always be remembered for her gentle spirit and disposition, sweet smile, and her blue eyes; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Heintz considered her 8 children, 23 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren her greatest joys and accomplishments; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Lillian Audrey Heintz has been deeply felt by many, especially her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Don Crowson, Marilyn and Jim Davis, Fran and Paul Ventimiglia, and Terri and Jim Cranmer; her sons and daughters-in-law, Victor and Dr. Barbara Heintz, Dr. William and Ellen Heintz, and Charles and Beth Heintz; her son-in-law, David "Rick" Whalen; her grandchildren and spouses, Aaron and Sharon Whalen, Christopher and Laura Crowson, Andrea and Tom Pierce, Todd and Tara Crowson, Michelle and Andrew Spond, Scott and Nancy Davis, Amy and Mike Batton, Eric Heintz, Laura Heintz, William Heintz Jr., Matt and Julie Heintz, Patrick Heintz, Jamie Heintz, Sarah and Dr. Rodney Stigall, Emily Ventimiglia and her fiancee Greg Geist, Paul Ventimiglia Jr., Greg Heintz, Brad Heintz, Andrew Heintz, Stephanie and Mike Tobin, Megan Cranmer, Christian Cranmer, David Cranmer, and Benjamin Cranmer; her 10 great-grandchildren; her special friend and companion, William Edward "Toots" Heintz; and her other extended family members and many dear friends; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Audrey A. Whalen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn the passing of Lillian Audrey Heintz, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lillian Audrey Heintz as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
