SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Reverend Frank Clark of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Frank Clark was born on May 10, 1923 to the union of William Henry Clark and Irene Mitchell in Vicksburg, Mississippi; he moved to Chicago as a child where he lived, attended school, and found his life's work as an ordained minister; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Clark's life was a testimony to his love of people as he ministered to his flock helping them through their many trials and tribulations; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Clark loved and enjoyed people more than anything else; he also had a fondness for competitive sports; he appreciated music, particularly gospel music; he enjoyed entertaining friends and family by singing gospel songs, including his favorites: There is No Secret In What God Can Do and Only Believe; another one of his favorites was Amazing Grace; and

WHEREAS, He will be missed and long remembered for his sense of humor and his delight in the people he served; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Clark is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-eight years, Lillian; his three daughters, Flora, Janice, and Wendy; from a former marriage, his four older children, Frances, Frank, Patricia, and Lloyd; and from a previous union, his son, F. Alexander Clark; and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of other family members; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of Reverend Frank Clark along with all who knew and loved him and extend our sincere condolences to his friends, family, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Reverend Frank Clark as a token of our deepest sympathy.
