SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Benjamin Espinoza Perez, lifelong resident of Ecuandureo, Michoacan, Mexico, on January 10, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Perez was a dedicated and successful businessman in the beverage industry; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Perez was the much admired and respected father-in-law of our colleague, Senator Martin A. Sandoval, 12th Legislative District; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Perez was the patriarch of the Perez family, including his beloved wife, Marina, 11 cherished children, including Marina Sandoval Espinoza, wife of Senator Martin A. Sandoval, 17 special grandchildren including, Martin, Angeles, and Jennifer Sandoval, and 6 treasured great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Countless people mourn the passing of this wonderful gentleman who lived a full life, always giving freely of his time and energy to family, friends, and chosen social and civic organizations; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our sympathy and condolences to the family of Benjamin Espinoza Perez; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Benjamin Espinoza Perez as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
