 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois learned with regret of the death of David V. Wood of
 4    Springfield on Monday, November 17, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Wood  was  born  on  November  2,  1953 in
 6    Springfield to Roland A. and Gerri E. Pearson Wood; and

 7        WHEREAS, Mr. Wood was a private licensed plumber; he  was
 8    a  U.S.  Navy  veteran,  serving from 1983 to 1987 on the USS
 9    Santa Barbara; and

10        WHEREAS, Mr. Wood  was  a  member  of  Ansar  Shrine  and
11    Masonic Lodge 33; he was of the Episcopal faith; and

12        WHEREAS,  The  passing  of  David V. Wood has been deeply
13    felt by many, especially his sons, Jared and Jason Wood;  his
14    mother,  Gerri  Wood;  his  sisters,  Rhonda  (husband,  Eric
15    Runkel)  Wood,  Sheila  Smith,  and Jennifer (husband, Craig)
16    Johnson; his brother, Dennis Wood; his many aunts and uncles;
17    his nieces and nephews; his two great-nieces;  and  his  many
18    cousins; therefore, be it

19        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
20    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
21    David V. Wood, and we extend our sincere condolences  to  his
22    family,  friends,  and  all who knew and loved him; and be it
23    further

24        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
25    presented  to the family of David V. Wood as an expression of
26    our deepest sympathy during their time of bereavement.
