 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  learned  with  regret  of  the  death  of Eugene C.
 4    Tinsley, Jr. of Carlinville on Wednesday,  August  20,  2003;
 5    and

 6        WHEREAS,  Eugene  C.  Tinsley,  Jr. was born on March 18,
 7    1942 in Mexico, Missouri, the son of  Eugene  C.  and  Zelpha
 8    Mast  Tinsley;  he married Diana Krug on October 18, 1969; he
 9    was preceded in death by his parents; and

10        WHEREAS, Mr. Tinsley was a 1960 graduate of  Mexico  High
11    School  and graduated from college in San Francisco; he was a
12    veteran of the United States Air  Force  and  was  a  product
13    manager  for  Thermic  Refractories  in  Girard  from 1976 to
14    February 28, 1999; and

15        WHEREAS, Mr. Tinsley was known for his  love  of  animals
16    and protector of the injured; he enjoyed gardening, restoring
17    cars, turkey hunting, fishing, and golfing; and

18        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Tinsley  served  as  co-chairman  of Ducks
19    Unlimited in 2000 and as chairman in 2001-2002; he was also a
20    member of Elks Lodge #1412 and several car clubs; and

21        WHEREAS, The passing of Eugene C. Tinsley, Jr.  has  been
22    deeply  felt  by  all  who knew and loved him, especially his
23    wife, Diana Tinsley;  his  three  daughters  and  son-in-law,
24    Megan  and  John Wynn, Taryn Tinsley, and Cassie Tinsley; his
25    sister and brother-in-law, Marietta and Wayne Biehn; and  his
26    niece and nephew; therefore, be it

27        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
28    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the  passing
29    of  Eugene C. Tinsley, Jr. and extend our deepest sympathy to
30    his family, friends, and community; and be it further

 1        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 2    presented  to  the  family  of  Eugene  C. Tinsley, Jr. as an
 3    expression of our sincerest condolences.
