 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  learned with regret of the death of William A. Ryon
 4    of Peoria on September 22, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, William A. Ryon was born on August 10,  1929  in
 6    Concord,  California  to Leonard P. and Helen Kreiss Ryon; he
 7    married Mary C. Martin on October 29,  1949  in  Peoria;  his
 8    wife preceded him in death on October 31, 1992; and

 9        WHEREAS,   Mr.  Ryon  was  a  meat  cutter  for  Kroger's
10    Supermarket for more than 20 years; and

11        WHEREAS, Mr. Ryon was a member of Sacred  Heart  Catholic
12    Church  in Peoria; he was also a member and past president of
13    the Peoria Barbershop Chorus; and

14        WHEREAS, The passing of William A. Ryon has  been  deeply
15    felt  by  all  who  knew  and loved him, especially his sons,
16    Timothy (Nancy) Ryon, Michael Ryon, David (Mary Alice)  Ryon,
17    and  Thomas  (MaryJo)  Ryon; his brother, Melville Kelso; and
18    his 8 grandchildren; therefore, be it

19        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
20    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
21    all who knew him, the death of William A. Ryon of Peoria; and
22    be it further

23        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
24    presented to the family of William A. Ryon with our sincerest
25    condolences.
