 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  learned  with  regret of the death of Jacqueline S.
 4    "Jacque" Davis of Columbia on October 8, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Jacqueline S. Metz was born on July 10, 1955  in
 6    Belleville to Alice Elizabeth Joshu and C. Barney Metz; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Davis  was  a payroll clerk for the Union
 8    Pacific Railroad; she was also a member of the Women's  Group
 9    at the Union Pacific Railroad; and

10        WHEREAS, The passing of Jacqueline S. Davis has been felt
11    by  all  who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Rick
12    Davis; her daughters, Jessica and Meghan Davis;  her  father,
13    C.  Barney  Metz; her brothers and sisters, Janice (Don) Cox,
14    Knute   (Janet)   Metz,   and   Jean   (Steve)   Brown;   her
15    sister-in-law, Vicki  (Bill)  Tutor;  her  mother-in-law  and
16    father-in-law,   Vernon  and  Edna  Davis;  and  her  nieces,
17    nephews,  other  relatives,  and  friends;  Mrs.  Davis   was
18    preceded  in  death  by  her  mother,  Alice Elizabeth Joshu;
19    therefore, be it

20        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
21    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
22    all who knew  her,  the  death  of  Jacqueline  S.  Davis  of
23    Columbia; and be it further

24        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
25    presented to the family  of  Jacqueline  S.  Davis  with  our
26    sincerest condolences.
