 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  shocked  and  deeply saddened to learn of the
 4    death of Steven Brian Malin Jr. of Lake Forest on  April  19,
 5    2003; and

 6        WHEREAS,  Steven  was  the  son of Steven and Maria Malin
 7    Sr.; he was a fifth grader at Deerpath Middle School in  Lake
 8    Forest; and

 9        WHEREAS,  Steven  enjoyed sports and played one for every
10    season, from football to basketball to baseball and golf;  he
11    was  a gentleman on and off the field and always tried to put
12    others before himself; he will be remembered for always being
13    just as happy when his teammate scored as when he scored; and

14        WHEREAS, Steven played  the  violin  from  age  four  and
15    enjoyed  art work; he served as an altar boy at St. Patrick's
16    Church; he often made his  family  laugh,  sometimes  at  his
17    jokes and sometimes at his mischief; and

18        WHEREAS,  The  passing of Steven Brian Malin Jr. has been
19    deeply felt, especially by  his  parents,  Maria  and  Steven
20    Brian  Malin  Sr.;  his sisters, Francesca and Brianna Malin;
21    his grandparents, Eugene and Jennie DeVito and Peggy and  the
22    late  Stanley Malin; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins;
23    therefore, be it

24        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
25    ASSEMBLY  OF  THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the tragic
26    death of Steven Brian Malin Jr. and we extend to his friends,
27    family, and all who knew and loved him our deepest  sympathy;
28    and be it further

29        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
30    presented to the family of  Steven  Brian  Malin  Jr.  as  an
31    expression of our sincere condolences.
