 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were saddened to learn of the recent death of Carol
 4    V. Giltner on April 25, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Carol V. Giltner was the  beloved  wife  of  the
 6    late Jack K. Giltner; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Giltner  was  the  personal  secretary to
 8    Illinois  Senator  Louis  S.  Viverito  in  his  capacity  as
 9    Stickney Township Supervisor for 24 years; and

10        WHEREAS, Mrs. Giltner was a  volunteer  at  the  "Center"
11    located  in  Palos Park and a member of the Stickney Township
12    Womens Regular Democratic Organization; and

13        WHEREAS, Mrs.  Giltner  was  a  devoted  grandmother  who
14    enjoyed adventure traveling and playing poker; and

15        WHEREAS,  Carol  Giltner  was  the  loving mother of Mark
16    (Ann)  Aler  and  Scot  (Cindy)  Aler;  dear  grandmother  of
17    Carolyn, Christopher, Daniel, Kat, Libby, and Josie;  dearest
18    daughter  of  Evelyn  Pizel; fond sister of Robert Pizel; and
19    cherished aunt and great-aunt of  many  nieces  and  nephews;
20    therefore, be it

21        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
22    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the  passing
23    of  Carol  V.  Giltner  and  express  our sincere and deepest
24    sympathy to her family and friends; and be it further

25        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
26    presented  to the family of Carol V. Giltner as an expression
27    of our condolences during their time of bereavement.
