 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  shocked and saddened to learn of the untimely
 4    death of Christopher DeAndrew Quarles on Thursday,  April  3,
 5    2003; and

 6        WHEREAS, Christopher DeAndrew Quarles was born on January
 7    2,  1986  to  Maxsimillion  Quarles  and  Reginald Olden; his
 8    father preceded him in death; and

 9        WHEREAS, He attended several public schools in Belleville
10    School District 118, including  Abraham  Lincoln  Elementary,
11    West  Junior  High, and Belleville West High School; he loved
12    sports, especially basketball;  he  will  be  remembered  for
13    playing basketball with his own "unique touch"; and

14        WHEREAS,  The passing of Christopher DeAndrew Quarles has
15    been deeply felt by all who knew him, especially his  mother,
16    Maxsimillion  (Ossie Jinkins) Quarles; his brothers, Reginald
17    E.  Olden-Quarles   and   Jamerro   A.   Olden-Quarles;   his
18    grandmother,  Linda  Campbell;  his  aunts,  Merinda  (Ricky)
19    Quarles, Janelle (Leo) Horton, and Monica Campbell; his eight
20    cousins;  his  four great-aunts; his eleven great-uncles; his
21    special  friend,  Elizabeth  Keeney;  and  his   many   other
22    relatives and loved ones; therefore, be it

23        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
24    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the  passing
25    of  Christopher  DeAndrew  Quarles  and extend to his family,
26    friends,  and  all  who  knew  and  loved  him,  our  deepest
27    sympathy; and be it further

28        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
29    presented to the family of Christopher DeAndrew Quarles as an
30    expression of our sincere condolences.
