 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened  to  learn of the death of Stella T.
 4    Siegel of Palos Heights on Friday, March 14, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Mrs. Siegel (nee Kusiolek) was born  on  May  2,
 6    1908 in Pennsylvania; after moving to Chicago, she worked for
 7    several  years at a fruit stand and she later managed a store
 8    called Gift Town, which replaced the fruit standat  the  same
 9    location; and

10        WHEREAS,  Mrs. Siegel will be remembered as a hardworking
11    woman who worked in the same location for at least 25  years;
12    she  was very active and worked with various senior groups in
13    Chicago; and

14        WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs. Siegel has been deeply  felt
15    by  all  who knew her, especially her sons, Eugene Siegel and
16    Jerome Siegel; her daughter,  Loretta  Dubovik;  her  sister,
17    Jean     Kristan;    her    12    grandchildren;    her    21
18    great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchild; and her many
19    nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

20        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
21    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing
22    of Stella T. Siegel, and we extend to  her  family,  friends,
23    and  all  who knew and loved her our sincere condolences; and
24    be it further

25        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
26    presented  to the family of Stella T. Siegel as an expression
27    of our deepest sympathy.
