 1        AN ACT in relation to public utilities.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Public  Utilities  Act  is  amended  by
 5    adding Section 2-103.5 as follows:

 6        (220 ILCS 5/2-103.5 new)
 7        Sec.  2-103.5.  Illinois Commerce Commission Police Force
 8    eliminated.  On the effective date of this amendatory Act  of
 9    the  93rd  General Assembly, the Illinois Commerce Commission
10    Police Force is abolished.  On the  effective  date  of  this
11    amendatory  Act  of  the  93rd General Assembly, all Illinois
12    Commerce Commission Police Officers are  transferred  to  the
13    jurisdiction of the Department of State Police and all books,
14    records,  and  accounts  relating  to  the  Illinois Commerce
15    Commission Police Force are transferred to the Department  of
16    State Police.

17        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect upon
18    becoming law.
