 1        AN ACT in relation to county government.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Counties  Code  is  amended  by  changing
 5    Section 1-1004 as follows:

 6        (55 ILCS 5/1-1004) (from Ch. 34, par. 1-1004)
 7        Sec.  1-1004.  Jurisdiction  over  Lake Michigan. Each of
 8    the counties  bordering  on  Lake  Michigan  has  shall  have
 9    jurisdiction over that said lake eastwardly, to the east line
10    of the State.
