 1        AN ACT concerning pharmacists.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987 is  amended
 5    by adding Section 22b as follows:

 6        (225 ILCS 85/22b new)
 7        Sec.  22b.  Retail price.  In addition to any information
 8    otherwise  required  by  law,  with  each  new   prescription
 9    dispensed,  the  pharmacist  shall  provide  on the label and
10    receipt the full retail price of  the  prescription  and  the
11    cost  of  any payment toward the retail price required of the
12    patient and any third-party payor.
