 1        AN ACT in relation to the State Treasurer.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  State  Treasurer  Act  is  amended   by
 5    changing Section 5 as follows:

 6        (15 ILCS 505/5) (from Ch. 130, par. 5)
 7        Sec.  5.  Seal.   The  Treasurer  shall  keep an official
 8    seal, which shall  be  used  to  authenticate  all  writings,
 9    papers  and  documents,  required by law to be certified from
10    his or her office;  and  copies  of  all  records,  writings,
11    papers  and  documents  legally  in  his or her keeping, when
12    certified by him or her, and  authenticated  by  his  or  her
13    official  seal,  shall  be  received  in evidence in the same
14    manner and with like effect as the originals.
