HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Chad Hays of Catlin on being named the 2004 Catlin Citizen of the Year; and

WHEREAS, The award, given by the Catlin Lions Club, is awarded to a member of the community who has gone above and beyond to volunteer; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Hays was selected for the award because of his many contributions to the betterment of the community, including serving as former mayor and co-chairman for Phases 1 and 2 of the Catlin Recreation Complex Committee; he also has been involved with HALOs Painting Blitz to paint a home in Catlin for donations to the Catlin Public Library building; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Hays will be honored at a banquet on May 20, 2004; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Chad Hays on being named the 2004 Catlin Citizen of the Year, and we thank him for his service to his community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Chad Hays as an expression of our respect and esteem.
