| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate the Integrity |
| 4 |
| Gospel Singers on the occasion of their Promoting Excellence |
| 5 |
| Scholarship Concert; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Promoting Excellence Scholarship Concert will |
| 7 |
| be held on Sunday, May 2, 2004; the proceeds from this event |
| 8 |
| will be used to give scholarships to members of the choir that |
| 9 |
| are high school seniors; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The award winning Integrity Gospel Singers were |
| 11 |
| formed on October 1, 2001; since its inception, the choir has |
| 12 |
| become a group to be reckoned with; their potential is |
| 13 |
| limitless and their enthusiasm is contagious; members of the |
| 14 |
| choir range in age from 8 to 23; they attend several schools |
| 15 |
| and colleges throughout the Peoria area and in central |
| 16 |
| Illinois; today, the group is 150 voices strong, and the |
| 17 |
| members of the choir sing with conviction; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, The Integrity Gospel Singers performed at the |
| 19 |
| State Capitol on February 25, 2004, in honor of Black History |
| 20 |
| Month and at the dedication of the Illinois Legislative Black |
| 21 |
| Caucus Building; the group is directed by Reverend Spencer |
| 22 |
| Gibson; therefore, be it
|
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 24 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 25 |
| congratulate the Integrity Gospel Singers on the occasion of |
| 26 |
| their Promoting Excellence Scholarship Concert; and be it |
| 27 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 29 |
| presented to the Integrity Gospel Singers as an expression of |
| 30 |
| our respect and esteem and with best wishes for the group's |
