1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, Throughout the years, women in the State of
3 Illinois have made important contributions to their
4 communities, the State, this nation, and the world; and

5     WHEREAS, Women have broken the unseen barrier that was
6 found in places of work and places of recreation; and

7     WHEREAS, Today, a woman can truly do any job that a man can
8 do; and

9     WHEREAS, Each year the House of Representatives and the
10 Senate of the State of Illinois have a softball match;
11 therefore, be it

12     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
14 urge that women have equal representation in the annual
15 softball game between the House of Representatives and the
16 Senate of the State of Illinois.
