| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives wish to recognize the Hinsdale Hospital on the |
| 4 |
| occasion of celebrating its 100th anniversary as a health care |
| 5 |
| provider of excellence; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Hinsdale Sanitarium and Hospital was founded |
| 7 |
| 100 years ago by David Paulson, M.D., and his wife, Mary |
| 8 |
| Paulson, M.D., to provide patients with "fresh air, sunshine, |
| 9 |
| suitable exercise, pure water, a wholesome diet, a beautiful |
| 10 |
| outlook and a mind at peace with God and man"; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Hinsdale Hospital remains the first and largest |
| 12 |
| medical facility in DuPage County and is the flagship hospital |
| 13 |
| of the Midwest Region of Adventist Health System, the largest |
| 14 |
| protestant non-profit health care system in the nation; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, On November 1, 2004, Hinsdale Hospital will |
| 16 |
| formally mark its centenary of health and spiritual service to |
| 17 |
| the Village of Hinsdale, the surrounding communities, and |
| 18 |
| DuPage County; therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 21 |
| congratulate and thank the physicians, staff, administrators, |
| 22 |
| and volunteers of Hinsdale Hospital for their tireless efforts |
| 23 |
| in maintaining and improving the health of the community they |
| 24 |
| serve; and be it further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to Hinsdale Hospital as an expression of our respect |
| 27 |
| and esteem and with best wishes for a successful second century |
| 28 |
| of service to the community.
