 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, For 10  years,  the  Chicago  Bar  Association's
 3    Alliance  for  Women  has  served  its  members;  on Tuesday,
 4    February 25, 2003, members of the group  will  celebrate  the
 5    tenth anniversary of the Alliance for Women's creation; and

 6        WHEREAS,   The   anniversary  will  be  celebrated  at  a
 7    reception with the theme "Celebrating 10 Years of Raising the
 8    Bar for Women Attorneys in Chicago"; the keynote speaker will
 9    be Chief Justice Mary Ann McMorrow; and

10        WHEREAS, The founder of the Alliance for Women is  Laurel
11    G.   Bellows;  the  current  president  of  the  Chicago  Bar
12    Association is Jennifer T. Nijman and the  co-chairs  of  the
13    Alliance  for  Women  are Jill P. O'Brien and Julie A. Bauer;
14    the chairperson of the event is Celia G. Gamrath;  therefore,
15    be it

16        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
17    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
18    we  congratulate the members of the Chicago Bar Association's
19    Alliance for Women on the occasion of the  tenth  anniversary
20    of the creation of the organization; and be it further

21        RESOLVED,  That  suitable  copies  of  this resolution be
22    presented to Jennifer T. Nijman, president of the Chicago Bar
23    Association,  and  Jill  P.  O'Brien  and  Julie  A.   Bauer,
24    co-chairs of the Alliance for Women, with our best wishes for
25    the  continued  success  of  the  Chicago  Bar  Association's
26    Alliance for Women.
