HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It is crucial that adults join together to empower young people with the confidence, strength of purpose, and vision needed to succeed in the workplace, and to negotiate the pitfalls that often stand in the way of success; Take Our Children to Work Day encourages cooperation not only from children and their parents, but also employers and schools, and it provides businesses and government with the opportunity to collaborate with schools to develop a strong work force for the State; and

WHEREAS, Such a day reinforces the importance of staying in school and introduces children to career possibilities; the exceptional hands-on experience that children receive from such an event will allow youth to envision a future with limitless possibilities; and

WHEREAS, Children are the future of the State of Illinois, the United States of America, and the world; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that as a valuable tool for the strengthening of society, we encourage parents to celebrate Take Our Children to Work Day by taking their children to work on a day that school is not in session.
