HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives congratulate William M. "Bill" Reidel on his
4 retirement after serving Consumers Cooperative Credit Union
5 (CCCU) for the past 40 years, including the last 25 as
6 President; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Mr. Reidel is a lifetime resident of Lake County,
8 and has worked diligently for the benefit of the members of
9 Consumers Cooperative Credit Union (CCCU) since 1964; he began
10 working at CCCU as a loan collector; and
 
11     WHEREAS, When Mr. Reidel became President of CCCU in
12 January 1979, the credit union had 16,185 members and $14
13 million in assets; when he retired, the Credit Union had 47,000
14 members and $365 million in assets; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Mr. Reidel has been actively involved in the
16 community, giving generously of his time, money, and talents as
17 he continuously worked for the welfare of the citizens of Lake
18 County; and
 
19     WHEREAS, He has worked on many civic and not-for-profit
20 Boards, including the Citizens Advisory Board for Cooperative
21 Education at the College of Lake County and has served three
22 terms on the Board of Directors for the Lake County Chamber of
23 Commerce; he was also that organization's President from
24 1999-2000; and
 
25     WHEREAS, Mr. Reidel is a respected leader throughout his
26 community; therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
29 congratulate William M. "Bill" Reidel on his retirement as

1 President of the Consumers Cooperative Credit Union (CCCU) and
2 wish him good health and happiness in all his future endeavors;
3 and be it further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to William M. "Bill" Reidel as an expression of our
6 respect and esteem.
