HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Jack Kiesgen on
4 the occasion of his retirement as the Grant Township Highway
5 Commissioner after 41 years of service; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Mr. Kiesgen has served as the Highway Commissioner
7 for 24 years; the highway department is responsible for the
8 maintenance of the 57 miles of township roads; his staff was
9 responsible for the following duties: winter snow and ice
10 control; maintenance and replacement of drainage and storm
11 sewers; tree trimming and roadside mowing; and assistance in
12 many ways for families involved in flooding and storms with
13 sand bagging, pumps, and debris clean-up; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Mr. Kiesgen has served his area in many ways,
15 including as member of the Fox Lake Volunteer Fire Department,
16 as a member of the American Legion Post No. 703, as a charter
17 member of the Fox Lake Lions Club, as past president of the
18 Lake County Highway Commissioners, and as a trustee for the
19 Village of Fox Lake; he is a member of the Fox Lake Police
20 Pension Board and an honorary member of Korpan's Landing Yacht
21 Club; and
 
22     WHEREAS, Mr. Kiesgen prides himself for having excellent
23 intergovernmental cooperation with the municpalities in and
24 around Grant Township; he is known for his great smile and
25 positive attitude; therefore, be it
 
26     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
28 congratulate Jack Kiesgen on the occasion of his retirement as
29 Highway Commissioner for Grant Township after 41 years of
30 service with the department; and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Mr. Kiesgen as an expression of our respect and
3 esteem and with many wishes for a relaxing retirement.
