1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The 822nd Military Police Company has been serving
3 Operation Enduring Freedom and currently in Operation Iraqi
4 Freedom in Iraq; and

5     WHEREAS, The unit is permanently stationed in the Village
6 of Arlington Heights; and

7     WHEREAS, Their commanding officer, First Lieutenant
8 Christopher Mulligan, wrote that "These solders are some of the
9 most proud professional Illinoisans that I have had the
10 pleasure of knowing."; and

11     WHEREAS, The members of this company serve our nation with
12 honor and pride and are owed an immense measure of gratitude;
13 therefore, be it

14     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 pay tribute to the courageous men and women from Illinois of
17 the 822nd Military Police Company; and be it further

18     RESOLVED, That we salute the members of the 822nd Military
19 Police company for their devotion to Illinois and the nation;
20 and be it further

21     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to the 822nd Military Police Company of the Army
23 Reserves as an expression of our pride and esteem.
