 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the  State  of Illinois congratulate Peoples National Bank in
 4    Mt. Vernon on receiving the 2003 Industry Appreciation  Award
 5    from the Mt. Vernon Economic Development Commission; and

 6        WHEREAS,  The  19th Annual Industrial Appreciation Dinner
 7    honoring Peoples National Bank was held on November 10, 2003;
 8    and

 9        WHEREAS, The week of November 9 through 15 was designated
10    Industrial Appreciation Week and gave  the  citizens  of  Mt.
11    Vernon  the  opportunity  to  express  their  appreciation to
12    Peoples National Bank; and

13        WHEREAS, With over a century  of  experience  in  serving
14    businesses,  families,  and  communities  throughout Southern
15    Illinois, Peoples National  Bank  is  recognized  as  a  high
16    performance   leader  in  the  financial  services  industry;
17    competitive and uniquely designed product lines in commercial
18    banking, wealth management, and mortgage financing, delivered
19    with a  highly  personalized  approach  to  the  client,  are
20    trademarks  of  Peoples National Bank's innovative management
21    style; and

22        WHEREAS, Peoples National Bank  has  announced  expansion
23    plans   that   will  bring  100  jobs  to  Jefferson  County;
24    therefore, be it

25        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
26    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27    we recognize Peoples National  Bank  on  receiving  the  2003
28    Industry  Appreciation Award for excellence in service to the
29    community; and be it further

30        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
31    presented  to  Chairman of the Board Hunt Bonan and President
