 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives were
 3    saddened  to  learn  of  the  death  of   Capriest   Thompson
 4    Abercrombie of Chicago on September 26, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Abercrombie  was born July 31, 1974 to the
 6    late Wilson Myles and Lisa Thompson; at the age  of  two,  he
 7    was adopted by John Abercrombie, Sr. and Dorothy Abercrombie;
 8    he was the youngest of eight children; and

 9        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Abercrombie was a graduate of Foreman High
10    School and attended Robert Morris College; and

11        WHEREAS, Mr. Abercrombie was a former member of Mt. Olive
12    Missionary Baptist Church where the Reverend  James  Bass  is
13    pastor;  he  later  moved  to Truth and Deliverance Christian
14    Church under the leadership of Apostle John  T.  Abercrombie;
15    and

16        WHEREAS, Mr. Abercrombie's passing will be deeply felt by
17    many,  especially  his  mother, Dorothy Abercrombie; his four
18    children, Romund, Sontanisha, Capriest, Jr., and  Crystianne;
19    his  four  brothers,  Joseph  (Comisk),  George, Apostle John
20    (Rosemary), and  Ronald  (Jackie);  and  his  sisters,  Donna
21    (Charlie),   Valerie  (Kevin),  Carletha  (Aundra),  Jasmine,
22    Georgia (Excell), Leela, Cathyran, and Betty;  therefore,  be
23    it

24        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
25    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
26    we  mourn  the passing of Capriest Thompson Abercrombie along
27    with all who knew  and  loved  him  and  extend  our  sincere
28    condolences to his family and friends; and be it further

29        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution is
30    presented to the family of Capriest Thompson  Abercrombie  as
31    an expression of our deepest sympathy.
