 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  are honored to recognize milestone events in
 4    the history of organizations in the State of Illinois; and

 5        WHEREAS, The Lincoln-Douglas  Kiwanis  Club  of  Freeport
 6    celebrated  25  years of service to the Freeport community on
 7    September 6, 2003; and

 8        WHEREAS, The Lincoln-Douglas Kiwanis Club of Freeport was
 9    chartered in 1978 and has participated in multiple  projects,
10    primarily in support of young children; and

11        WHEREAS,   Some   of   the   major   projects   that  the
12    Lincoln-Douglas Kiwanis Club of Freeport have participated in
13    include the  Soap  Box  Derby,  the  Special  Olympics,  Kids
14    Kastle, Winter Park, the Freeport Public Library, Head Start,
15    Adult  Literacy,  the Oasis at the Tutty Crossing, as well as
16    Spastic Paralysis Research regionally and  Iodine  Deficiency
17    Disorder internationally; therefore, be it

18        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
19    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
20    we  congratulate the Lincoln-Douglas Kiwanis Club of Freeport
21    on the celebration of 25 years of service to the residents of
22    Freeport; and be it further

23        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
24    presented  to the Lincoln-Douglas Kiwanis Club of Freeport as
25    an expression of our esteem.
