 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, Fernwood United Methodist Church has served as a
 3    beacon in  the  Chicago  community  with  a  broad  array  of
 4    services  including computer classes, senior programs, energy
 5    assistance, and youth enrichment  services;  it  is  a  small
 6    church committed to service, character, and leadership; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Pastor Reverend Albert R. Sampson has served as
 8    Pastor of Fernwood United Methodist Church for  the  past  28
 9    years of his 47 years in the ministry; and

10        WHEREAS,  On  Sunday,  June  29,  2003,  the  members  of
11    Fernwood  United  Methodist  Church  will host an Anniversary
12    Dinner Celebration to  honor  Pastor  Rev.  Sampson  for  his
13    dedicated service in the ministry; therefore, be it

14        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
15    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
16    we  honor  Pastor  Reverend  Albert   R. Sampson for his many
17    years of  dedicated  service  to  Fernwood  United  Methodist
18    Church and to the Chicago community; and be it further

19        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
20    presented to Pastor Rev. Albert R. Sampson as  an  expression
21    of our respect and esteem.
