 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The Lockport Township High School football team,
 3    the Porters, defeated Stevenson High School 35 to 14  in  the
 4    final  game  of  the  IHSA  Class 8A Football Championship on
 5    November 30, 2002 making the Lockport Porters the 2002  Class
 6    8A State Champions; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Head  coach  Bret  Kooi  and  assistant coaches
 8    George Czart, Jim Hall, Rich Fullriede, Jason  Scurlock,  Tim
 9    Ehlebracht,  Kevin  Bolling,  Ron  Kulwinski, Matt Blackmore,
10    Steve Stanicek, Jim Pfeiffer, Andy Satunas,  Dave  Jeglinski,
11    Brad Sievers, and Derek Freiberg aided and guided the members
12    of  the Lockport football team to a record of 13 wins and one
13    loss; and

14        WHEREAS, The sophomore members of the  Lockport  football
15    team  are Jason Soukup, Matt Ludwig, Dan Brady, Chris Keyser,
16    Jake Christensen, George  Kadlec,  Scott  Karn,  Rich  Bonko,
17    Chris Maramba, Tim Bills, Lenny Smith, Ed Lelo, Dan McDonald,
18    Dave  Hammonds,  AJ Carroll, Eric Sternberg, Bobby Bebar, Joe
19    Luckey, Brandon Tuskey, Jake  Kobylarczyk,  Mike  Shaub,  Don
20    Gross, Edgar Gonzalez, Adam Brown, JR Baker, Matt Boyce, Zach
21    Lammers,  Rich  Connelly,  Steven  Murray,  Hazem Sweis, Matt
22    Preston, Josh Jagust, Dan  Wallace,  Jesus  Maldonado,  Kevin
23    Bumber, Ralph Caruso, Nick Simpson, and Labren Harris; and

24        WHEREAS, The junior members of the Lockport football team
25    are  Casey  Choragwicki,  Brandon  Feeley, Adam Decaire, John
26    Finnegan, Jeff Olsick, Rodney Burkes, Dave Sliwa, Rob  Weber,
27    Ryne  Kunce,  Jon  Groves,  Adam  Lave, Emanuel Barlas, Brian
28    Lagiglia, Adam Michalski, Tony Jones,  Evan  Mitchell,  Kevin
29    Bain,  Scott  Bemetuik,  Bryan  Finnegan,  Randy Griffin, Pat
30    Sullivan, Anthony Alvarado, Eric Rago, Jon Iwen, and Jim Fox;

32        WHEREAS, The senior members of Lockport football team are

 9    therefore, be it

10        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
11    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12    we commend the members and coaches of the  Lockport  Township
13    High  School  football team on winning the 2002 IHSA Class 8A
14    State Football Championship; and be it further

15        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
16    presented to each of the members and coaches of the team with
17    our best wishes for their continued success.
